Test offers

The regional AIDS service organizations conduct HIV, syphilis, hepatitis, and other STI testing exclusively in accordance with binding quality standards. These services are generally open to everyone and are provided anonymously and confidentially.

All testing is carried out exclusively by certified HIV/STI counselors. They complete a structured, multi-stage professional training program that includes a supervised practical phase and mandatory supervision. Their qualifications are regularly reviewed and maintained through continuous advanced training hours and mandatory recertification. No one conducts testing without having completed and documented this qualification.

Each test is preceded by a structured counseling session based on established guidelines. During this session, individual concerns are clarified, possible risk constellations are professionally assessed, and it is jointly determined whether testing is medically appropriate and meaningful at the current point in time (diagnostic window period).

Before the test is conducted, certified counselors provide comprehensive information about transmission routes, testing methods, reliability, and possible results. Personal risk management is also discussed and, if desired, preventive strategies are addressed. The testing procedure itself follows standardized protocols and complies with all hygiene and data protection regulations.
